“It was the best of times, it was the worst of times, it was the age of wisdom, it was the age of foolishness, it was the epoch of belief, it was the epoch of incredulity, it was the season of Light, it was the season of Darkness, it was the spring of hope, it was the winter of despair, we had everything before us, we had nothing before us, we were all going direct to heaven, we were all going direct the other way - in short, the period was so far like the present period, that some of its noisiest authorities insisted on its being received, for good or for evil, in the superlative degree of comparison only.”
"I was in the shower contemplating the meaning of life"
"Did you make any progress?"
"In trying to discover the meaning of life? Sadly, not much. Only that you have to spend most of your time with people who give off positive vibes and help you to become a better person, but you also have to spend time with those who give off negative vibes because you can learn from them as well and then you learn to appreciate the people who radiate vibes that are positive to your being even more than before and you must really cherish the time you get with those people because of course time is always limited because in life you are not given an unlimited amount of time but with that limited amount of time you can do wonders and if you use it wisely that limited amount of time just may be enough and to get the most of it you must take chances because even if you make a mistake and think your life is over you must begin to realize that your time is valuable yet at the same time it is completely insignificant in the grand scheme of things because what may seem to be the end of the world is so small compared to everyone’s time combined and all of the time of the earth and you really realize that the chances taken that led to the mistakes were worth it all along because it’s part of your time and part of your being and it will never actually be the end of the world because of a simple or big chance you took.
But other than that I didn’t make much progress!”
